The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a Curriculum Leader in Business Economics and Computer Science to lead an established team and drive excellence in teaching and learning. This role offers the opportunity to shape a dynamic curriculum and inspire both students and colleagues through innovative practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Business, Economics, and Computer Science curriculum to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Inspire and motivate students and staff to achieve excellence in academic performance and personal development.
- Manage and support a team of teachers, providing professional development and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Implement innovative teaching strategies and technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring that all learners meet high expectations in achievement and behaviour.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s ethos and culture through leadership and collaboration.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, including parents, students, and other school leaders.
- Ensure alignment with current curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical developments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching Business, Economics, and/or Computer Science up to A Level.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team of teachers.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality teaching and achieving excellent examination results.
- A deep understanding of current curriculum and pedagogical developments.
- High expectations of student achievement, behaviour, and learning outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with new technologies and their application in teaching and learning.
- Experience in staff development and professional growth programmes.
- A passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
