The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Curriculum Leader of Religious Education and PSHCE to lead and develop two key curriculum areas at the heart of the Academy. This role is ideal for an experienced RE or PSHCE teacher ready to take on a leadership position and drive high standards in academic and personal development across KS3–KS5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the RE and PSHCE curriculum across key stages 3 to 5.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and innovative curriculum that supports student development.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching and learning in RE and PSHCE.
- Support staff through professional development and training.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to align curriculum goals with school priorities.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and personal growth within the school community.
- Ensure that the curriculum reflects the school's values and ethos, including global citizenship and personal development.
- Engage with external partners and UCL to enhance curriculum delivery and student experiences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in RE and PSHCE.
- Proven experience in teaching and leading curriculum development.
- Strong track record of impacting student achievement and personal development.
- Experience in a leadership or middle leadership role within a school setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leaders.
- Commitment to the school’s vision and ethos, including global citizenship and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience working within a UCL-connected school or academy.
- Familiarity with innovative curriculum design and delivery.
- Experience in developing and delivering PSHCE programs.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of current educational research and best practices in RE and PSHCE.
