Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a comprehensive sports programme that promotes participation, excellence, and inclusivity.
- Manage and support a team of coaches and sports staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.
- Deliver high-quality physical education and sport activities that align with the school’s values and educational goals.
- Work closely with colleagues across the school to integrate sport into the broader curriculum and student experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement in sport.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all sporting activities.
- Represent the school at external events and engage with parents and the wider community.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sport and physical education programmes, making recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in sport and physical education.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality sports programmes.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a focus on student development.
- Experience in managing a team of sports staff and coaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of sports administration and event management.
- Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular sports activities.
- Familiarity with current trends and best practices in school sport.
