The Opportunity:
As a Director of Learning, you will play a vital role in driving student attainment, achievement, and personal development across a year group. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact on student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the learning and achievement of students in a year group in line with school values and ethos.
- Drive improvement in student attainment and personal development across the year group.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student well-being.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align learning goals with school objectives.
- Provide professional development and support to teaching staff.
- Ensure that the school’s vision and values are embedded in all aspects of learning and student engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching and leadership within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and student achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusivity, student well-being, and personal development.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a Christian ethos or faith-based education.
- Background in trauma-informed practices and student support.
- Experience in working with diverse student populations.
