The Opportunity:

As a Director of Learning, you will play a vital role in driving student attainment, achievement, and personal development across a year group. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the learning and achievement of students in a year group in line with school values and ethos.
  • Drive improvement in student attainment and personal development across the year group.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student well-being.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align learning goals with school objectives.
  • Provide professional development and support to teaching staff.
  • Ensure that the school’s vision and values are embedded in all aspects of learning and student engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching and leadership within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusivity, student well-being, and personal development.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a Christian ethos or faith-based education.
  • Background in trauma-informed practices and student support.
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations.
