The Opportunity:

As a Curriculum Manager - Travel and Tourism, you will lead the development and delivery of a dynamic and customer-facing curriculum. This role is central to ensuring students are equipped with the skills and experiences needed to succeed in their studies and future careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the quality of curriculum provision to meet the needs of students, employers, and stakeholders.
  • Develop opportunities for student progression and readiness for employment.
  • Collaborate with East Midlands Airport to deliver courses in aviation, hospitality, and logistics.
  • Support the curriculum team in providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Liaise with other faculty areas, support services, admissions, and pastoral services to enhance the learner experience.
  • Ensure alignment of curriculum with industry needs and employer expectations.
  • Lead in the development of innovative teaching strategies and learning experiences.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in curriculum leadership within a further education or higher education setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a large and diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the travel and tourism sector, including industry trends and employer needs.
  • Experience in developing and delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of learners.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with East Midlands Airport or similar industry partners.
  • Knowledge of adult education and higher education provision.
  • Experience with cross-faculty collaboration and integration of support services.
  • Background in professional development and staff training.
  • Familiarity with the latest teaching and learning technologies.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £43,222 to £45,406 per annum (pro-rata for part-time roles).
