The Opportunity:

As a Personal Development Tutor, you will play a key role in supporting students to develop essential life skills, build confidence, and prepare for future opportunities. This is a part-time, term-time only role with a focus on personal development and employability within the Fashion & Textiles and Hair & Beauty departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate group and individual tutorials to support students in developing personal, social, and employability skills.
  • Deliver engaging and effective tutorial sessions that help students achieve their full potential.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in preparing for college life and future careers.
  • Collaborate with the Personal Development Team to plan and deliver a structured tutorial programme.
  • Attend and support school events and trips to enhance student engagement and experience.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with students, parents, and other staff members.
  • Liaise with parents and guardians to ensure students receive consistent support and guidance.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and pastoral care skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE A*-C in English and Maths, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing groups of students and delivering tutorials.
  • Strong ICT and administration skills.
  • Willingness to obtain a relevant teaching qualification if not already held.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral care and supporting students with personal development.
  • Knowledge of Fashion & Textiles or Hair & Beauty sectors.
  • Experience with student welfare and guidance initiatives.
