Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that supports student achievement and progression.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities, promoting a love of music and the arts.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Support the school’s values and ethos through positive role modeling and professional conduct.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
- Demonstrated awareness and commitment to child safeguarding.
- Experience in teaching music at the appropriate level.
- Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering a broad and balanced music curriculum.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
- Ability to lead and inspire students through creative and engaging teaching methods.
