Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities, promoting a love of music and the arts.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Support the school’s values and ethos through positive role modeling and professional conduct.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated awareness and commitment to child safeguarding.
  • Experience in teaching music at the appropriate level.
  • Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering a broad and balanced music curriculum.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Ability to lead and inspire students through creative and engaging teaching methods.
