Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students.
  • Develop and implement engaging teaching materials and programmes that support student progress.
  • Monitor and assess student attainment, ensuring all pupils reach their full potential.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated commitment to child protection and safeguarding.
  • Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development.
  • Experience in delivering Science curriculum to students aged 11-16.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Science in a comprehensive school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in education.
  • Knowledge of current Science curriculum and assessment requirements.
