The Opportunity:

The Data Manager is essential to supporting teaching and learning through accurate data management and reporting. This role ensures that the school operates efficiently and meets all statutory requirements, while contributing to a data-driven culture that enhances performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the school’s Management Information System (iSAMS), ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Support the Timetabler in developing and reviewing the school timetable using TimeTabler.
  • Assist with curriculum planning and creation of option blocks using Options TOOLs.
  • Ensure seamless data integration between systems, including admissions, assessments, and attendance.
  • Process changes to staff, pupil, and room timetables efficiently.
  • Provide front-line support to staff, pupils, and parents for data systems.
  • Contribute to the implementation and migration of new systems and data integration.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the school’s systems and identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a data-focused role within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of iSAMS, TimeTabler, and Options Tool.
  • Experience in producing, analysing, and presenting data reports to support Teaching & Learning.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting Data Protection Leads or handling Subject Access Requests (SARs).
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection requirements within education.
  • Experience supporting inspections or audits.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to interpret and create queries.
  • Skills with presentation tools such as Power BI.
  • Interest or experience with AI tools for data interaction.
