Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Sixth Form, ensuring a high-quality academic and pastoral experience for all students.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student achievement and engagement.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Oversee the curriculum and extracurricular opportunities, ensuring they align with the school’s educational philosophy.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in their academic, personal, and career development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s strategic goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Sixth Form, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Represent the school at external events and engage with the wider community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, ideally in a Sixth Form or similar setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
  • A relevant qualification in education or a related field, such as a PGCE or MA in Education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in a co-educational setting.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
  • Experience in developing and delivering pastoral care programs.
  • A track record of academic excellence and student achievement.
