Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Sixth Form, ensuring a high-quality academic and pastoral experience for all students.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance student achievement and engagement.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Oversee the curriculum and extracurricular opportunities, ensuring they align with the school’s educational philosophy.
- Provide guidance and support to students in their academic, personal, and career development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s strategic goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Sixth Form, using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent the school at external events and engage with the wider community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, ideally in a Sixth Form or similar setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
- A relevant qualification in education or a related field, such as a PGCE or MA in Education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience in a co-educational setting.
- Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
- Experience in developing and delivering pastoral care programs.
- A track record of academic excellence and student achievement.
