The Opportunity:
As a Deputy Director of Learning - Maths, you will lead and deliver outstanding learning and teaching in a disadvantaged community. This role is ideal for experienced educators looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people and to drive academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the maths faculty to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Work closely with the Director of Learning to drive continuous improvement across the curriculum.
- Support and coach colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
- Implement innovative and creative teaching strategies to engage and progress learners.
- Monitor and evaluate pupil performance to ensure sustained delivery of outstanding attainment.
- Contribute to the development of a rich and diverse leadership programme.
- Ensure the maths curriculum is accessible and suitable for all learners.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, professional development, and shared success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- Proven experience in improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.
- Strong organisational and motivational skills.
- Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
Preferred
- Experience in middle leadership roles.
- Experience of coaching and mentoring colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and engage learners.
- Experience within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
