Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the maths curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of all learners.
  • Support and mentor teaching staff to improve teaching quality and student outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure high standards of achievement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate leadership and character development into maths learning.
  • Implement innovative teaching strategies that engage and challenge students.
  • Work with senior leadership to shape school-wide educational priorities.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the maths faculty.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE standards
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a faculty
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes
  • Strong organisational and motivational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring colleagues
  • Experience of leading curriculum development
  • Experience of working in a multi-academy trust or similar setting
  • Experience with innovative teaching and learning strategies
