Key Responsibilities:
- Deputise for the Director of Maths and support the leadership of the maths department.
- Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, broad, and balanced curriculum for Key Stage 5 students.
- Monitor and improve student progress and achievement across the subject area.
- Support the development of teaching and learning strategies to raise standards.
- Manage and deploy staff, financial, and physical resources effectively.
- Implement and uphold academy policies and procedures consistently.
- Contribute to the improvement of literacy across the school through the WORD strategy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Proven experience in teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Strong track record in improving student achievement and results.
- Experience in lesson observations, feedback, and professional development.
- Ability to manage and lead a team of teachers and support staff.
Preferred
- Experience in working with governors and across multiple schools.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership experience.
- Experience in curriculum development and literacy initiatives.
