Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the Director of Maths and support the leadership of the maths department.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, broad, and balanced curriculum for Key Stage 5 students.
  • Monitor and improve student progress and achievement across the subject area.
  • Support the development of teaching and learning strategies to raise standards.
  • Manage and deploy staff, financial, and physical resources effectively.
  • Implement and uphold academy policies and procedures consistently.
  • Contribute to the improvement of literacy across the school through the WORD strategy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Proven experience in teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Strong track record in improving student achievement and results.
  • Experience in lesson observations, feedback, and professional development.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of teachers and support staff.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with governors and across multiple schools.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership experience.
  • Experience in curriculum development and literacy initiatives.
