Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Food to students aged 11–18 and support the delivery of other Design and Technology disciplines
  • Collaborate with the Head of Design Technology and Engineering to design a challenging, relevant, and engaging curriculum
  • Ensure high-quality teaching and learning that promotes student progress and achievement
  • Contribute to professional development and share best practice through coaching and open-door teaching
  • Promote the profile of Design and Technology across the school through exciting and innovative learning opportunities
  • Manage resources and classroom environments to support effective teaching and learning
  • Support and deploy other adults in the classroom where appropriate
  • Monitor and analyse student data to inform teaching and intervention strategies

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Food
  • Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology
  • Commitment to student progress and high-quality teaching
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead within a school environment

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Experience with project-based learning and ICT integration
  • Leadership experience within a school department
  • Experience in staff coaching and mentoring
  • Background in supporting school improvement and marketing initiatives
