The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Design Technology and Food Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. This role offers the chance to shape a vibrant curriculum for students aged 11-18 and contribute to a school that values creativity, innovation, and high standards of teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Food to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of a challenging and relevant curriculum
  • Ensure all students make outstanding progress through high-quality teaching
  • Promote Design and Technology across the school through engaging and innovative learning opportunities
  • Organise and manage resources to create a purposeful and inspiring learning environment
  • Deliver extra-curricular activities, including at least one weekly enrichment session
  • Support colleagues through mentoring and coaching where appropriate
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students on and off site

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Food and Design Technology
  • Ability to teach Food to Key Stages 3-5
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery

Preferred

  • Experience teaching other Design and Technology disciplines
  • Background in project-based learning and ICT integration
  • Experience in extra-curricular leadership or coaching
  • Familiarity with Google School environments and digital learning tools
