As Deputy Head of Preparatory School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic vision and ensuring the delivery of a rigorous, innovative curriculum aligned with the Cambridge International Primary Programme. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced academic professional looking to make a lasting impact on student learning and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership in the design, delivery, and enhancement of the Cambridge International Primary Programme.
  • Ensure the curriculum is intellectually rigorous, globally relevant, and engaging for a diverse student body.
  • Collaborate with subject leaders to embed innovative pedagogical practices and align with the school’s academic vision.
  • Oversee formative and summative assessment frameworks to ensure alignment with international standards.
  • Analyse academic performance data to drive improvement and personalise learning pathways.
  • Champion high standards of teaching through observation, feedback, and coaching.
  • Lead professional learning opportunities that support teacher development and enhance classroom experiences.
  • Ensure teaching is inclusive, adaptive, and responsive to student needs and aspirations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a Cambridge International Curriculum school.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated success in curriculum development and academic improvement.

Preferred

  • Experience with international education standards and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of local education guidelines and practices.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and student support strategies.
