Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons to students aged 11-16.
- Develop and implement engaging, curriculum-based teaching resources.
- Support student progress through differentiated instruction and assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve departmental outcomes and share best practices.
- Participate in the school’s professional development and instructional coaching programmes.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities and clubs.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
- Experience teaching students aged 11-16 or willingness to gain experience in this age range.
- Commitment to the school’s values of Unity, Faith, Truth, Justice, Forgiveness, and Industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with instructional coaching or professional development programmes.
- Background in Catholic education or a strong understanding of Catholic values.
- Experience with extra-curricular programme development or delivery.
- Experience in pastoral support or student well-being initiatives.
