Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons to students aged 11-16.
  • Develop and implement engaging, curriculum-based teaching resources.
  • Support student progress through differentiated instruction and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve departmental outcomes and share best practices.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development and instructional coaching programmes.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities and clubs.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
  • Experience teaching students aged 11-16 or willingness to gain experience in this age range.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of Unity, Faith, Truth, Justice, Forgiveness, and Industry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with instructional coaching or professional development programmes.
  • Background in Catholic education or a strong understanding of Catholic values.
  • Experience with extra-curricular programme development or delivery.
  • Experience in pastoral support or student well-being initiatives.
