The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve departmental teaching and learning strategies.
  • Participate in shared planning sessions to enhance curriculum delivery and reduce workload.
  • Support the school’s extra-curricular programme through timetabled clubs and activities.
  • Promote the school’s values and Catholic ethos within the classroom and wider school community.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students in all aspects of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Food Technology.
  • Experience in teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic values and ethos.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience with instructional coaching or CPD delivery.
  • Background in pastoral care or student support.
  • Experience in extra-curricular planning or leadership.
  • Familiarity with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document.
