The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join our innovative and forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Promote strong academic progress and outcomes for all students.
- Demonstrate deep subject knowledge and a commitment to curriculum excellence.
- Plan and deliver well-structured, inclusive lessons tailored to student needs.
- Use assessment effectively to monitor and support student learning.
- Manage classroom behavior to ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
- Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in design, technology, and engineering.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology or Engineering.
- Strong subject knowledge in design, technology, and engineering.
- Experience of teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-focused lessons.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
Preferred
- Experience with STEM education and extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate or T Level qualifications.
- Experience working in a collaborative, multi-academy trust environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
