The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join our innovative and forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Promote strong academic progress and outcomes for all students.
  • Demonstrate deep subject knowledge and a commitment to curriculum excellence.
  • Plan and deliver well-structured, inclusive lessons tailored to student needs.
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor and support student learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior to ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in design, technology, and engineering.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology or Engineering.
  • Strong subject knowledge in design, technology, and engineering.
  • Experience of teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-focused lessons.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience with STEM education and extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate or T Level qualifications.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, multi-academy trust environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
