The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives through inspiring lessons and a commitment to excellence in drama and performing arts education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality drama and performing arts lessons to Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Plan and develop engaging and stimulating curricula that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Promote a culture of academic and creative excellence within the school.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised teaching and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s performing arts programme.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to the arts.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and motivating classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Performing Arts and Drama.
  • Proven ability to teach drama at Key Stage 3 and Performing Arts at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching BTEC and GCSE Performing Arts qualifications.
  • Background in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Experience working in a specialist SEND environment.
  • Passion for promoting the arts and extracurricular engagement.
