The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives through inspiring lessons and a commitment to excellence in drama and performing arts education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality drama and performing arts lessons to Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Plan and develop engaging and stimulating curricula that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
- Promote a culture of academic and creative excellence within the school.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised teaching and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s performing arts programme.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to the arts.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and motivating classroom environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Performing Arts and Drama.
- Proven ability to teach drama at Key Stage 3 and Performing Arts at Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching BTEC and GCSE Performing Arts qualifications.
- Background in curriculum development and innovation.
- Experience working in a specialist SEND environment.
- Passion for promoting the arts and extracurricular engagement.
