The Opportunity:

As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will inspire students and deliver high-quality learning in a school committed to excellence. You will play a key role in shaping young minds and preparing them for the future through creative and innovative teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Design and Technology lessons to students aged 11 to 18.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages creativity, innovation, and practical skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and leadership programmes that promote character development and social action.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Design and Technology field and integrate new ideas into teaching.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
  • Proven ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning.
  • Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Experience of innovation and creativity in engaging and progressing learners.

Preferred

  • Experience in a faith-based or inclusive educational setting.
  • Experience with leadership and character development programmes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in a school with a leadership specialism.
