The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher with ECT Induction Lead responsibilities to join our team. This role combines high-quality teaching with leadership in supporting new teachers, making a meaningful impact on both students and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and lead the school's Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme.
• Deliver high-quality science lessons and contribute to student progress and learning outcomes.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and support to trainee and early career teachers.
• Develop and implement training programmes that align with statutory requirements and school goals.
• Collaborate with ITT providers, mentors, and school leaders to ensure a cohesive induction experience.
• Manage documentation, deadlines, and communication for the induction programme.
• Promote a culture of continuous professional development and reflective practice.
• Build strong, positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Science and IT & Business.
• Strong classroom teaching skills and a commitment to high-quality learning.
• Proven ability to mentor and support early career teachers.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Experience in coordinating training or induction programmes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in Initial Teacher Training or ECT induction support.
• Leadership or management experience within education.
• Familiarity with CPD frameworks and professional development pathways.
• Experience with inclusive education and student support strategies.
• Knowledge of IT and Business curriculum requirements.
