The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher with ECT Induction Lead responsibilities to join our team. This role combines high-quality teaching with leadership in supporting new teachers, making a meaningful impact on both students and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead the school's Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme.
- Deliver high-quality science lessons and contribute to student progress and learning outcomes.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and support to trainee and early career teachers.
- Develop and implement training programmes that align with statutory requirements and school goals.
- Collaborate with ITT providers, mentors, and school leaders to ensure a cohesive induction experience.
- Manage documentation, deadlines, and communication for the induction programme.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Build strong, positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science and IT & Business.
- Strong classroom teaching skills and a commitment to high-quality learning.
- Proven ability to mentor and support early career teachers.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience in coordinating training or induction programmes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in Initial Teacher Training or ECT induction support.
- Leadership or management experience within education.
- Familiarity with CPD frameworks and professional development pathways.
- Experience with inclusive education and student support strategies.
- Knowledge of IT and Business curriculum requirements.
