Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science lessons to GCSE standard, inspiring a love of learning and achieving positive student outcomes.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s leadership and character development programme.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to improve attainment.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student performance and progress.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, and safeguarding.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of delivering outstanding attainment and achievement at GCSE level.
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate students through creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a faith-based or leadership-focused school environment.
  • Experience with curriculum development and leadership programme delivery.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
