The Opportunity:

As an ITT Coordinator with Teaching, you will lead and coordinate the school's Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher induction programme, while also delivering high-quality teaching in Science, IT, or Business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the school's Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher induction programme, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Science, IT, or Business, contributing to student progress and curriculum development.
  • Mentor and support trainee and early career teachers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ITT providers, mentors, and school leaders.
  • Manage documentation, coordinate training programmes, and meet statutory deadlines effectively.
  • Promote a culture of continuous professional development and reflective practice.
  • Contribute to the school’s professional learning culture and support the development of all staff.
  • Ensure the induction programme aligns with the school’s vision, values, and educational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science, IT, or Business.
  • Strong classroom practice and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and supporting trainee and early career teachers.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate training programmes and manage documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and student success.

Preferred

  • Experience in Initial Teacher Training or ECT induction.
  • Leadership or management experience within education.
  • Experience with CPD and professional development programmes.
  • Knowledge of school improvement strategies and curriculum development.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or working in diverse educational settings.
