The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Sociology and English Teacher to join a forward-thinking school. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Sociology and English at KS3, KS4, and KS5, ensuring students achieve excellent progress and enjoyment.
- Create and maintain a disciplined and stimulating learning environment that motivates all students.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and assessments.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
- Assist in the production of examination papers and mark them when required.
- Ensure compliance with external examination requirements and Teachers’ Standards.
- Support students through form tutor duties and contribute to their overall well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Sociology and English.
- Strong knowledge of subject content and examination specifications.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality education and supporting student progress.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
- Experience with cross-curricular or extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with working within a multi-academy trust environment.
