Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Sociology and English at KS3, KS4, and KS5, ensuring students achieve excellent progress and enjoyment.
• Create and maintain a disciplined and stimulating learning environment that motivates all students.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and assessments.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
• Assist in the production of examination papers and mark them when required.
• Ensure compliance with external examination requirements and Teachers’ Standards.
• Support students through form tutor duties and contribute to their overall well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Sociology and English.
• Strong knowledge of subject content and examination specifications.
• Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality education and supporting student progress.

Preferred

• Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
• Experience with cross-curricular or extracurricular activities.
• Familiarity with working within a multi-academy trust environment.
