Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning in the Design and Technology department.
- Maintain and manage equipment, tools, and materials in line with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure the safe use of hazardous equipment and tools by students and staff.
- Keep accurate and detailed work records in accordance with school procedures.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of practical learning activities.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the quality of student learning experiences.
- Provide guidance and support to students in the use of design and technology resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Levels or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent.
- Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety legislation as it applies to a school environment.
- Understanding of COSHH and risk assessment procedures.
- Experience of maintaining and managing work records.
- Knowledge of safe working practices when handling hazardous equipment and tools.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Strong organisational and technical skills.
- Commitment to supporting student learning and development.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with students and staff.
