Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning in the Design and Technology department.
  • Maintain and manage equipment, tools, and materials in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure the safe use of hazardous equipment and tools by students and staff.
  • Keep accurate and detailed work records in accordance with school procedures.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of practical learning activities.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the quality of student learning experiences.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in the use of design and technology resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Levels or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent.
  • Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety legislation as it applies to a school environment.
  • Understanding of COSHH and risk assessment procedures.
  • Experience of maintaining and managing work records.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices when handling hazardous equipment and tools.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and technical skills.
  • Commitment to supporting student learning and development.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with students and staff.
