The Opportunity:

As a Design Technician, you will support the Design department across Food, Design & Technology, Textiles and Art. This is a hands-on role that involves assisting with lesson preparation, supporting practical activities, and maintaining clean and well-organised teaching spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with lesson preparation and practical activities across multiple subjects.
• Support students during lessons, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Maintain and organise teaching spaces, equipment, and materials.
• Work collaboratively with staff to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed during practical sessions.
• Provide proactive support to help students achieve their full potential.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the department and school.
• Respond to day-to-day challenges with initiative and a positive attitude.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in a similar support role within an educational setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a clean, tidy working style.

Preferred

• Experience in design, technology, or art-related subjects.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a school environment.
• Experience working with students of all ages.
• Familiarity with using design and technology equipment.
