The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French to students across the Senior School, including GCSE and A level classes.
  • Inspire students to develop fluency, confidence, and an appreciation for French-speaking cultures.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that promote curiosity and a deeper understanding of global perspectives.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of enrichment activities, trips, and cultural events.
  • Support students in achieving academic success and preparing for examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best approaches.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching French.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach French across the Senior School.
  • Experience in delivering engaging and effective classroom teaching.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at GCSE and A level.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or cultural events.
  • Experience with modern teaching methods and technologies.
  • Familiarity with the diamond model of teaching.
