The role offers the possibility of teaching A level for the right candidate, and the successful individual will be instrumental in fostering student progress and engagement in design and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach design technology to students from Year 7 to Year 11, with the potential to teach A level.
• Deliver high-quality lessons that promote creativity, innovation, and practical skills.
• Support students in achieving exceptional progress and meeting high academic standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the design technology curriculum.
• Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events.
• Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in design technology education.
• Contribute to the overall ethos and values of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A good, relevant degree and a PGCE.
• Commitment to the school’s ethos of high expectations and student progress.
• Ability to work effectively with students and colleagues.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching design technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Experience with A level teaching.
• Experience with newly qualified teachers or ECT training.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students.
