Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of PE Enrichment activities in the sixth form.
  • Support the school’s extensive extra-curricular programme in PE and Sports.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and challenging curriculum.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with school expectations.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral and community activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching Physical Education at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering PE Enrichment activities.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in PE and Sports education.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Familiarity with using technology in teaching and learning.
