The Opportunity:
As a Religious Education Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, helping them achieve their full potential. You will be part of a team dedicated to academic excellence, contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements and support student achievement.
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the faculty and school through professional development and reflection.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, and student well-being.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of a school teacher in accordance with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
- Engage in whole-school initiatives and contribute to a supportive and collaborative working culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Religious Education.
- Experience in teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student achievement.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
- Meeting professional standards for the career stage.
Preferred
- Experience with continuous professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Experience in delivering cross-curricular or pastoral support initiatives.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student populations.
