The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design Technology Teacher to inspire students across key stages 2 to 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative Design and Technology lessons across key stages 2 to 5.
- Foster a stimulating, inclusive, and challenging classroom environment that supports student progress and confidence.
- Encourage creative thinking, iterative design, and the development of sustainable solutions to real-world challenges.
- Promote student engagement through practical skills, critical thinking, and understanding of emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department’s curriculum and teaching practices.
- Support the school’s mission to develop confident, responsible, and future-ready designers.
- Participate in co-curricular and pastoral activities that contribute to student well-being and development.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and integrate new technologies into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology.
- Ability to teach across key stages 2 to 5.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student progress and inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with early career teacher (ECT) development.
- Enthusiasm for professional development and continuous improvement.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
- Background in co-curricular or pastoral activities.
