The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design Technology Teacher to inspire students across key stages 2 to 5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Design and Technology lessons across key stages 2 to 5.
  • Foster a stimulating, inclusive, and challenging classroom environment that supports student progress and confidence.
  • Encourage creative thinking, iterative design, and the development of sustainable solutions to real-world challenges.
  • Promote student engagement through practical skills, critical thinking, and understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department’s curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Support the school’s mission to develop confident, responsible, and future-ready designers.
  • Participate in co-curricular and pastoral activities that contribute to student well-being and development.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and integrate new technologies into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology.
  • Ability to teach across key stages 2 to 5.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with early career teacher (ECT) development.
  • Enthusiasm for professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
  • Background in co-curricular or pastoral activities.
