The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Design & Technology Teacher to join our high-performing department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

  • Uphold the highest standards of workshop safety and technical discipline.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student progress.
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies to enhance student outcomes.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • A clear vision for a knowledge-rich curriculum
  • Understanding of evidence-based teaching practices
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Suitability to work with children and young people

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL)
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
  • Experience with design and technology projects that integrate real-world applications
