Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Design Technology or Art, ensuring a stimulating and engaging learning environment.

  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the department.

  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, creativity, and personal growth.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and development.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Design Technology or Art to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Design Technology or Art.
  • Experience of teaching in a school environment, or a strong commitment to working in education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage a classroom effectively.
  • Commitment to student welfare and a positive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with flexible working arrangements.
  • Experience in developing and delivering creative and innovative lessons.
  • Experience with cross-curricular or collaborative projects.
  • Experience in leading or supporting extracurricular activities.
