The Opportunity:
As the Director of Communications, you will lead the school’s marketing, digital, and PR strategy. This role is pivotal in enhancing the school’s profile and supporting student recruitment and fundraising. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a passion for arts and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy across marketing, digital, and social media.
- Lead press relations, media engagement, and public relations efforts to strengthen the school’s national and international profile.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and Development Team to support fundraising and industry partnerships.
- Manage and enhance alumni engagement initiatives to foster long-term relationships.
- Oversee brand management and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Deliver impactful campaigns that inspire and engage stakeholders.
- Support the Principal in external communications, including press releases and industry interactions.
- Ensure alignment with the school’s mission, values, and diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a senior communications or marketing leader in the education or arts sector.
- Strong background in brand management, digital marketing, and public relations.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic communications campaigns.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams.
- Strong understanding of media and industry engagement in the creative and performing arts sector.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational institution setting.
- Familiarity with the UK education system and performing arts industry.
- Experience in fundraising or partnership development.
- Knowledge of digital storytelling and content creation.
