Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Sociology and Personal Development lessons that engage and challenge students.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages critical thinking and prepares students for life beyond school.
• Contribute to the development of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in the social sciences.
• Support students through a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including debate, leadership, and citizenship initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s strong academic reputation.
• Monitor and assess student progress to ensure all learners achieve their full potential.
• Promote a culture of mutual respect and high standards within the school community.
• Provide guidance and support to students in their personal and academic development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Sociology and Personal Development.
• Proven experience in teaching and delivering curriculum content at Key Stage 4 and 5.
• Strong organisational skills and a commitment to excellence in the classroom.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a high-performing school environment.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum design or development.
• Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
