The Opportunity:

A Food Technology Teacher with Art & Design is needed to join a dynamic and experienced department. This role offers the chance to contribute to a high-performing team and help shape the development of a creative curriculum, including the new International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology and Art & Design to students of all abilities.
  • Support the development and implementation of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
  • Contribute to the extra-curricular programme, including cooking clubs, design projects, and exhibitions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve student outcomes and subject performance.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Food Technology and Art & Design education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Food Technology and Art & Design.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a passion for teaching creative subjects.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum design or development.
  • Previous involvement in extra-curricular activities related to Food Technology or Art & Design.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
  • Experience with teaching students aged 11–18.
