The Opportunity:

As a Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the strategic objectives of the Trust. This position offers the chance to lead across key areas such as Human Resources, Facilities, and IT, ensuring the school operates efficiently and effectively while supporting the mission of transforming young people’s lives through education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage cross-functional projects to ensure successful delivery aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Provide strategic leadership in areas including Executive Administration, Communications and Marketing, and Human Resources.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and financial viability across all departments.
  • Support the Strategic Leadership Group in implementing new initiatives and special projects.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with policies and procedures across the Trust.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and implement policies that align with the school’s mission and values.
  • Ensure the successful integration of new systems and technologies across departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in senior operational or strategic leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of educational sector operations and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation of organizational objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Background in education or multi-academy trust environments.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of HR, IT, and Facilities management in educational settings.
  • Familiarity with alternative provision and special educational needs.
