Speech and Language Therapist needed at a school with an outstanding Ofsted rating and National Autistic Society accreditation.

The Opportunity:
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will support autistic young people aged 3–19, delivering expert assessments and interventions. You will work alongside teachers and other professionals to create communication-rich environments and promote neurodiversity-affirming practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality assessments and interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide expert guidance and support to staff, families, and students.
- Mentor junior therapists and SLT Assistants to develop their skills and confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student progress.
- Promote and implement neurodiversity-affirming practices across the school.
- Contribute to the development of communication-rich environments in specialist classrooms.
- Support the implementation of sensory and therapeutic interventions.
- Work across multiple school sites and age groups.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant degree and professional qualifications in speech and language therapy.
- Experience working with autistic children and young people.
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
- Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred
- Experience in specialist settings or mainstream schools with autistic students.
- Experience with sensory and therapeutic interventions.
- Knowledge of the National Autistic Society standards.
- Experience in developing and mentoring junior therapists.
