Speech and Language Therapist Band 5 or 6 role with a focus on neurodiversity and innovative therapy support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative and innovative therapeutic interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Manage a caseload with support and guidance from senior therapists
- Train and upskill education professionals in neuro-affirming communication and best practice
- Embed communication and interaction opportunities within classrooms and specialist provisions
- Support students’ emotional regulation, resilience, and overall wellbeing
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to create meaningful outcomes
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and the wider school community
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team focused on collaboration and student-led practice
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- Experience working with autistic young people or those with complex communication needs
- Ability to deliver therapeutic interventions in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to a neurodiversity-affirming approach
Preferred
- Experience with the “expert-at-hand” model of support
- Background in working within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with sensory and therapeutic interventions
- Knowledge of neurodiversity and inclusive education practices
- Experience in developing and delivering training for education professionals
