Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sports strategy aligned with the school’s mission and values.
- Oversee the management and coordination of all sports programs, competitions, and events.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to sports staff, coaches, and athletes.
- Ensure the promotion and participation of students in a wide range of sporting activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate sport into the broader educational experience.
- Maintain and improve sports facilities and equipment to the highest standards.
- Promote inclusivity, safety, and well-being in all sporting activities.
- Monitor and report on the performance and impact of the sports program.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a sports or education setting.
- Strong understanding of school sports management and student development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing sports teams and events.
- Commitment to promoting physical well-being and character development.
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role at an independent or preparatory school.
- Knowledge of sports coaching and athlete development.
- Familiarity with extra-curricular programs and student welfare initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic and pastoral teams.
