The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Domestic Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff in the boarding houses and communal areas. This role is essential to the day-to-day operations and comfort of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean to a consistently high standard across all assigned areas
• Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated collection points
• Sweep, mop, and suction clean carpets in accordance with guidelines
• Dust, wipe, and polish furniture, surfaces, and fittings
• Clean and maintain bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, and showers
• Replenish consumable items such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels
• Wash and iron clothing and linen as required
• Report any damage or faults to the Hall Housekeeper
• Assist with food and drink service at functions when required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Reliable and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures

Preferred

• Experience with cleaning chemical products and adherence to safety standards
• Flexibility to work term-time only and on weekends
• Previous experience in a school or hospitality setting

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly rate of £13.50
