The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and committed Drama and English Teacher to join a growing school. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student learning and development. The position is a maternity cover starting in September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Drama and English across KS3 to KS4/GCSE
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to teaching and learning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and well-being
  • Foster a strong moral purpose and ambition for every student
  • Contribute to the continued development and growth of the school
  • Engage in professional development and reflective practice
  • Support students in achieving their full potential academically and personally

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or will obtain it by the start date of the position
  • Experience teaching Drama and English from KS3 through to KS4/GCSE
  • Strong commitment to student success and high academic standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing new teaching strategies
  • Background in student mentoring or pastoral care
  • Experience with inclusive education and differentiated instruction
  • Passion for drama and English with a track record of subject leadership
