The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified Drama and Music Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive school. The role involves teaching across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to inspire students through engaging and creative lessons. This is an excellent opportunity for ECTs to grow and develop in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Drama and Music across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages student creativity and participation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Support students in achieving academic and personal growth through effective assessment and feedback.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress regularly.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s curriculum and teaching standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Drama and Music.
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive teaching practices.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and use digital tools such as Google Classroom.
Preferred
- Experience working with ECTs or in a supportive teaching environment.
- Background in curriculum development or innovative teaching methods.
- Experience with multi-academy trust structures or collaborative working.
- Knowledge of music and drama performance opportunities.
