We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Performing Arts (Music) to join our thriving department on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through high-quality music education and contribute to a dynamic and creative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Deliver engaging lessons that develop performance, composition and listening skills
  • Inspire students to develop a love of music and build confidence in their musical abilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of an ambitious and inclusive Performing Arts curriculum
  • Support the wider life of the school through concerts, productions, ensembles and enrichment opportunities
  • Play a full role as a Form Tutor, supporting students’ personal and academic development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A qualified teacher with experience in Music education
  • Strong subject knowledge in Performing Arts (Music)
  • Experience in delivering both practical and theoretical elements of Music
  • Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching that meets the needs of all students

Preferred

  • Experience in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 teaching
  • A passion for student engagement and performance
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to extra-curricular music activities
  • Experience in form tutoring and pastoral care
