Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Drama lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that supports student progress and achievement
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support student learning
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback
  • Represent the school at events and engage with the wider community
  • Contribute to the development of the Drama department and its long-term vision

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
  • Experience of teaching Drama at both GCSE and A Level
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to student well-being and personal development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a school with a strong focus on student outcomes
  • Experience of delivering extracurricular Drama activities
  • Familiarity with research-based teaching methods
  • Experience of working within a multi-academy trust
