The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Flute to students across a range of abilities and age groups.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that develop students' technical and musical skills.
  • Support students in preparing for performances and assessments.
  • Collaborate with other music teachers to enhance the school’s music programme.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Provide individual and group tuition in a flexible and professional manner.
  • Encourage a passion for music and a commitment to excellence in performance.
  • Participate in school events and music-related activities as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified music teacher with experience in teaching Flute.
  • Strong musical ability and performance experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in a school or college setting.
  • Familiarity with music curriculum requirements and assessment standards.
  • Experience with instrumental tuition and ensemble work.
  • Knowledge of music technology and digital teaching tools.
