The Opportunity:

A Drama Teacher is needed to inspire and engage students in Years 3–8 through innovative drama lessons, productions, and co-curricular activities. This role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on young learners within a dynamic and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons aligned with the IB PYP and Senior Prep Curriculum.
  • Ensure inclusive teaching practices that support all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Direct annual productions for Years 4–8, working closely with the Performing Arts Faculty and senior leadership.
  • Support the speech and drama teacher in preparing students for exams and LAMDA showcase events.
  • Organize and lead at least one after-school co-curricular drama activity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in drama education.
  • Strong knowledge of drama pedagogy and curriculum frameworks.
  • Ability to plan and deliver inclusive lessons for diverse student groups.
  • Experience in directing school productions and managing co-curricular activities.

Preferred

  • Experience working within the International Baccalaureate framework.
  • Familiarity with LAMDA and drama exam preparation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for theatre and performance.
