This role offers the chance to teach across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A level while supporting a rich co-curricular programme that includes school productions, clubs, and enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Drama lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Support the department’s extensive programme of productions and co-curricular activities.
  • Assist with directing school performances and contributing to Drama clubs and enrichment opportunities.
  • Foster a creative and supportive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and collaboration.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the Drama curriculum.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Maintain accurate records and assess student progress effectively.
  • Encourage student participation in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Drama education.
  • Experience teaching Drama at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive and collaborative teaching practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme.

Preferred

  • Experience with directing school productions or leading Drama clubs.
  • Strong knowledge of current Drama teaching methodologies and practices.
  • Experience in a girls’ school or similar educational setting.
  • Passion for developing students’ confidence, creativity, and performance skills.
