Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive Drama lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
- Support the department’s extensive programme of productions and co-curricular activities.
- Assist with directing school performances and contributing to Drama clubs and enrichment opportunities.
- Foster a creative and supportive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and collaboration.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the Drama curriculum.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Maintain accurate records and assess student progress effectively.
- Encourage student participation in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Drama education.
- Experience teaching Drama at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive and collaborative teaching practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme.
Preferred
- Experience with directing school productions or leading Drama clubs.
- Strong knowledge of current Drama teaching methodologies and practices.
- Experience in a girls’ school or similar educational setting.
- Passion for developing students’ confidence, creativity, and performance skills.
