The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality early years education. You will lead and inspire a team, ensuring that every child receives the best possible start in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on young learners and help raise standards in early years provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the early years provision, ensuring it aligns with the school’s vision and educational standards.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support the holistic development of young children.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of children, providing feedback to parents and staff.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and staff to raise standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of care, excellence, and inclusion within the early years team.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, with a strong focus on safeguarding and welfare.
  • Support the professional development of early years staff through mentoring and training.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified to teach and work in the UK.
  • Relevant degree and EYFS qualification.
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to the success of the EYFS in a school.
  • Deep commitment to providing an excellent education to every child, regardless of background.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and welfare procedures, with the ability to act appropriately when concerns arise.

Preferred

  • Experience with Ark’s mission and values.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Experience in curriculum development and early years pedagogy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Competitive salary range of £33,739 - £53,094 + TLR.
